Here is the most recent picture of Mom. Wonder Woman as Aunt Ida calls her. She is now at home! Yah!

Update

This will probably be the last update on Mom, unless you request otherwise. (Or if we get a picture before she leaves, I'll post that. lol) I just came from the hospital and she is as strong as ever as I'm sure, those of you who have talked to her today can tell. Even the doctor joked 'have you even had surgery?' He told her he may let her go home tomorrow or Sat. Whooo Hooo! Thanks for all the kind notes and prayers. They are all so, so much appreciated. Update

Mom was moved to the Intermediate Care floor this morning. She has had a walk and was able to sit in a chair for awhile. They removed her bandages which I found a little strange, lol. But I guess they know what they are doing. The doctor told her she had a mini stoke during the surgery, but that's what sometimes happens. She isn't suffering any ill efffects from that. She also had to have insulin this evening but they said that sometimes happens as well. She looked good, just a bit weary from all this. I'm sure she would love to be at home instead. Anyway, she gets better every day. If you want to call her directly to her room email me @ kcdebbann@msn.com and I will give you the number.

Update

Just wanted to give you all another update about Mom. She is still in ICU but not for long. She is doing very, very well. Fiesty as ever and does NOT like being a patient. lol The staff allowed us to visit for more than an hour. They said her eyes are okay and she doesn't have any other complications resulting from the surgery. Another MRI was taken this morning and if it looks okay the doctor could give the all clear to move her out of ICU!

Update

We got to see her for just a minute or two. Her coloring looked good and she could respond to us but she was still pretty out of it. Hopefully, tomorrow when we see her she will be a little more lucid. I will post an update after I see her then.

Even Better News!

She is out of surgery (earlier than we expected) and doing really well. They got most of it out. We haven't seen her yet. Not for another hour, they are waiting for her to wake up a bit more. Thanks again for all your prayers! Will post more after we see her.

2 hr Update on Mom

Good news! The nurse (who knows mom from St. Bens.. ) just came out and let us know she is doing GREAT! Her vitals are stable and she is doing well. They don't know how much longer they'll be, as they don't want to rush such an important surgery.. So, we'll keep you posted! Thanks for all the support and love..

Ok, since the hospital page at McKay didn't work, we've decided to make my blog a temporary Mom Central blog. =] Check in often to see how she is doing. Her surgery is scheduled for 30 Nov 09 @ 7 am. The surgery will take approx 6 hrs and she will be in ICU for 2/3 days. I will check this often and post any news. If you want to leave a note for Mom just click on the comments link below this post and I will see that she gets it. (All prayers are welcome, too) =]

The next day it was off to Disneyland and California Adventure.

We had great weather... well, the 2nd Yankee game was a scorcher but overall the weather was nice. Great trip! Thanks, Jason and Hollie for having us along!

More Summer Fun

I decided to explore digital scrapbooking since I can't seem to find the time to utilize my craft room to create regular scrapbooks. And I may never go back! These are the first ones I ever did so they are pretty simple but I love it. I've already gotten 15/20 pages done since I began. Sooo much easier. ^^

Lake Powell '09

So I've been struggling with how to post ALL the pictures I took on our Lake Powell trip (my first trip there, I might add) and all I did was get frustrated and discouraged. There were just too many of them. And trying to weed out which ones to include and not include still left me with too many to post. Then I realized I should just put them in mini collages and post them that way. So that's what I did. These are just thrown together so....


The scenery was AWESOME!!

The grandkids were always so busy, busy, busy... lol

Adam caught a fish and let Bailee reel it in. The kids were soo excited about that fish.

It was great fun! Hope to do it again!

1st Sleepover w/Bailee and the boys!

I'm not sure why I agreed to this.. haha but this past weekend I had 4 of my six grandkids over for a sleepover. All four were under 3 1/2 yrs old, 3 are 2!! What was I thinking! lol As hectic as it was we still had tons of fun.




As kids will be kids, our grandkids are no different. They are drawn to climbing the rocks, which absolutely drives me crazy. Since we don't have grass yet, I worry about them falling on all the smaller, sharp rocks in all the beds. Oh well, what can you do..
