Thanksgiving Weekend 2008!

We had a very busy Thanksgiving this year. We had Ken's kids, grandkids and mom over. Melinda and her little family are in CA. :(. I was pretty stressed out as I hadn't cooked a turkey in years. But it all came out good. It was exhausting but well worth it.

The day after Thanksgiving we had my family over for dinner. My brother had made a surprise visit from England! It was fun seeing him! Here's hoping he can come back next year with the whole family! XOXOXO We miss you guys!

Go Chargers! Finally!

We just returned from a fun filled trip to sunny San Diego to see the Chargers play the Jets on "Monday Night Football!" Ken, J and his wife are big Chargers fans. (I'm not much into sports but have to admit it is pretty fun when you're at the actual game. So I go along for the 'ride'). We've been out there several times over the years to see them play and they always lose. We were beginning to think we were jinxes. Not this time. Yay!

First, tho', we stopped in Riverside to see my in-laws Jess and Sue. The weather was absolutely beautiful the entire trip. It was the first time we'd been there when it was warm enough to swim in the pool. Course, I wasn't putting on a swimsuit. But it was fun watching the grandkids.

We stayed overnight and the next morning it was off to San Diego and the condo we rented just a very short walk from the beach!

After settling in, we headed out to the beach and Ken and I just relaxed and watched the kids play in the sand.

Next day we hopped on the train and it was off to the game! We headed out early to join in on all the tailgating fun.

We had great seats. They were playing the Jets and I managed to get a couple pictures of Brett Favre.

Next up - Sea World! That was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed all the shows. Especially the 'Journey to Atlantis' where my little grandson convinced me to ride with him in the front. I ended up getting soaked from head to toe!! Thank goodness we have no pictures of that! lol

Finally, on the last day we headed out to Disneyland! No matter how old I get I stil love Disneyland. It's especially fun to watch the kids have so much fun. It was the perfect time of year to go. Hardly any waiting in lines. It was great!

Little Miss Layton!!

Marley won the grand prize (a trophy and $50!) in the Little Miss Layton Pageant! Wooo hooo!

She was a little shy at first but then she was her usual cute self. Of course, Grandma didn't think to record her 'performance' until it was over.

The trophy was almost as big as she is.
